We tried to the city rec center swim lessons for two years but my son was not progressing towards floating/swimming independently. Started taking Colin’s starfish level class and after being enrolled for a couple sessions my son is independently floating and is beginning to swim freestyle by himself. In addition he has built up so much confidence in his abilities. Highly recommend.

This review is for any adults on the fence about signing up, just do it!! I'm 38 and really anxious around water because of an accident years ago. I thought it would be an embarrassing and harrowing experience but it's quite the opposite. I'm already beginning to make progress and yesterday was only my 3rd class!! Colin is truly an exceptional teacher, he is patient, encouraging and really fosters your confidence! I'm thrilled I took the chance!! Also sign up is such a breeze, thanks HVSS!

We’ve had such a great experience at Hudson Valley Swim! Coach Mady is very friendly and patient, and she really knows how to make kids feel comfortable in the water. My son went from being nervous to actually excited about lessons, and I've noticed a big boost in confidence. The classes are fun but still focus on safety and good technique. The pool area is always clean. Overall, it’s been a really positive experience, and I’m so glad we signed up!
